Simon Raby Ph.D. is a Full Professor of Entrepreneurship and Associate Director of the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Mount Royal University (MRU). Simon is the founder of and the Academic Director for MRU’s and TD Bank’s Growth Catalyst Executive Program for Ambitious SME Teams, which has 350 alumni in the network, and growing. He is also the founder of ScaleUP Week. His research focuses on scaling and high growth firms, innovation, human resource management and entrepreneurial ecosystems. Simon’s work has been published in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal, the International Human Resource Management Journal, the International Small Business Journal, the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research, and the Journal of Business Research. He has authored numerous technical reports and is regularly invited to keynote. Simon is Chair of the Calgary Innovation Coalition, a special advisor to provincial and regional policy makers and actively consults with both private and government enterprises. Simon has raised over $6.4m in research and enterprise funding.
